Euro Market, located in the heart of Astoria, is much more than your average grocery store—it is a vibrant gateway to Eastern European and Mediterranean culinary traditions. Nestled at 30-42 31st St, this supermarket offers an authentic and carefully curated selection that makes it a beloved destination for locals and food enthusiasts seeking something truly unique. Whether you’re on the hunt for hard-to-find cheese varieties like kashkaval, freshly baked pita, or specialty cured meats such as suho meso, Euro Market’s shelves brim with treasures that transport you straight to the Old World.
What truly stands out about Euro Market is the sense of discovery it invites. As Bárbara F. charmingly put it, shopping here felt like "traveling in a store." From the briny freshness of their feta cheese—which comes with the option of brine or without and stays deliciously fresh—to an impressive assortment of olives, honey, jams, and even Milka chocolate, you find yourself immersed in flavors and ingredients that go beyond everyday grocery shopping. This is not just about food; it’s an experience that sparks curiosity and culinary creativity.
Euro Market also takes pride in catering to its diverse community with an extensive offering of beverages, including Belgian beers that Douglas Nelson highlights as “amazing” and difficult to find elsewhere in the neighborhood. Their drink selection elevates the market into a destination for rare finds and specialty items, perfect for anyone looking to complement their meals or stock up for gatherings. The fact that it’s open late only adds to its charm as a dependable local fixture in Astoria.
The store itself is spacious, allowing for a relaxed browsing experience through a wide range of Mediterranean and Central European staples. As Solel Soleil noted, the prices are fair, and special touches such as hot bureks and freshly brewed coffee or tea make it more than just a market—it’s a place to pause and savor a small taste of Eastern Europe. The outdoor seating area adds a welcoming communal vibe, while an intriguing “top secret amenity” hints at Euro Market’s commitment to creating a multi-sensory shopping environment that keeps customers coming back.
Whether you’re an adventurous eater looking to explore lesser-known spices like Vegeta or Argeta spreads, or simply seeking fresh eggs and beloved snacks like Smoki peanuts, Euro Market stands out for its authenticity, breadth, and depth. This Astoria institution not only provides an incredible selection but also fosters a warm connection to the rich cultural heritage behind every product. It’s a store that invites you to slow down, explore, and rediscover food as a gateway to new experiences and memories.
For anyone who cherishes quality, authenticity, and variety in their groceries, Euro Market is an irreplaceable gem that keeps Astoria’s Eastern European and Mediterranean roots vibrantly alive.
This place is great for all your Eastern European and Greek needs. All types of cheeses, cured meats, pita, olives, honey, cookies, jams, olive oil, snacks, drinks, and beers, to name a few. It's open late, a true icon of Astoria.

Great selection of products that I never heard of and don’t know how to use because well, I’m not European lol this was like traveling in a store. I bought feta from there and absolutely go back for more because it was delicious and stayed fresh long. The can give it to you in brine or without it.
Large store with a wide range of Mediterranean and central European food offerings, including bulk staples. Prices are fair. Hot bureks and coffee/tea are a good special, they have Ryazhenka and take EBT. They also have an outdoor seating area and one more top secret amenity.
For beer, this place is amazing. Belgian that you can't get in the neighborhood easily, plus tons of others too. It's worth the trip.
For less than the price of a subway ride, you can get a Greek wafer bad and the Albanian “golden eagle” energy drink - ifve heard good things about it, definitely better than Red Bull in my opinion. There’s also a lot of important specialty goods here, would advised visiting this store!
